Boxing training plans, built for your goal

Boxers train differently depending on whether there's a bout on the calendar or not — a fighter six weeks from a fight needs sparring rounds and weight management, not just conditioning. SportBlox builds your boxing training plan around your goal, current level and event date.

Who it's for

First amateur bout

Roadwork, technical rounds and sparring prep building toward a specific fight date.

Sharper ring IQ

Combination and footwork drills aimed at club-level sparring rather than competition.

General fight-fitness

Bag work, conditioning circuits and pad sessions for boxers not currently competing.

How SportBlox personalises it

Your goal & event date

Sessions build toward the specific goal and date you set, with a taper if you're racing or competing.

Your skill level

Volume and intensity scale to where you actually are, from Inexperienced to Professional.

Your stated weaknesses

Tell SportBlox about things like “guard discipline when tired”, “lateral footwork”, “cutting weight safely for fight night” and the plan weights sessions toward fixing them.

Your schedule

The plan fits the days and time you say you have — not an idealised training week.

Coaching a boxing team?

SportBlox builds your team's training plan around the squad as a whole — its goals, weaknesses and upcoming events — and you review and refine every session before your athletes see it.

For coaches

Boxing training plan FAQ

How many rounds of training per week does the plan include?

Typically 5–6 sessions mixing roadwork, bag/pad work and one or two sparring or conditioning-round days, always with a rest day.

Do I need a gym and a coach to spar?

Sparring sessions assume gym access and a partner — SportBlox marks these as sparring/technical rounds, but the surrounding conditioning and bag work can be done solo.

Is this suitable for someone with no boxing background?

Yes — set skill level to Inexperienced and the plan leans toward technique and conditioning before adding sparring volume.

Will it fit around my existing gym sessions?

Tell SportBlox the sessions you already do and it builds the boxing-specific work around them.

Does it help with cutting weight?

It won't prescribe a weight cut directly, but flag your weight class as a challenge and the plan will favour conditioning approaches that support safe weight management.
