FINSWIMMING

Finswimming training plans, built for your goal

Finswimming rewards a completely different technique to freestyle — full-body undulation through a monofin generates far more propulsion than a kick, but only once the timing between torso, hips and fin is right, and immersion events add breath-hold pacing on top of that. SportBlox builds your finswimming training plan around your event — surface, bifins or immersion — your level and the meet on your calendar.

Your stated weaknesses

Tell SportBlox about things like monofin undulation timing, breath-hold pacing in immersion events, start and turn speed and the plan weights sessions toward fixing them.

Your schedule

The plan fits the days and time you say you have — not an idealised training week.

FAQ

Finswimming training plan FAQ

How many sessions per week does a finswimming plan include?

Typically 5-6 pool sessions plus 1-2 dryland strength sessions, scaled to your meet calendar.

Do I need to be a strong swimmer already?

It helps but isn't required — tell it your current swim background and the plan builds monofin technique from wherever you're starting.

Is this suitable for someone new to finswimming?

Yes, set skill level to Inexperienced and the plan starts with undulation drills and fin feel before race-pace work.

Does it cover both bifins and monofin events?

Yes — tell SportBlox which equipment and events you're training for and sessions adjust accordingly.

Will it fit around my club's pool schedule?

Yes, tell it your available pool times and sessions are built around them.
