Hyrox training plans, built for your goal
Hyrox punishes anyone who trains running and functional strength separately — every one of the eight stations is followed by another kilometre on legs that are already compromised, so pacing and transition speed matter as much as raw fitness. SportBlox builds your Hyrox training plan around your race date, current level and whichever station is actually costing you time in the roxzone.
Who it's for
First Hyrox finish
Structured prep to get through all eight stations and 8km of running comfortably, without blowing up on the sled or wall balls.
Chasing a sub-75 or sub-60 time
Race-pace training targeting the specific stations and running splits standing between you and your goal finish time.
Training for doubles or a relay
Sessions built around you and your partner's combined pacing, station splits and transition handoffs.
A week of hyrox training
Example: an intermediate racer eight weeks out from race day. Your own plan is built around your event, level and schedule.
How SportBlox personalises it
Your goal & event date
Sessions build toward the specific goal and date you set, with a taper if you're racing or competing.
Your skill level
Volume and intensity scale to where you actually are, from Inexperienced to Professional.
Your stated weaknesses
Tell SportBlox about things like sled push pace, unbroken wall ball reps, running off the ski erg and the plan weights sessions toward fixing them.
Your schedule
The plan fits the days and time you say you have — not an idealised training week.
Works with Strava
Connect Strava and your logged sessions feed back into pacing and progression.
Hyrox training plan FAQ
How many sessions per week does a Hyrox plan include?
Usually 5-6 sessions mixing compromised running, station technique and strength, tapering in the final one to two weeks before race day.
Do I need access to a sled, ski erg and the other Hyrox stations?
It helps but isn't required — tell it what equipment you have access to and sessions substitute realistic alternatives for stations you can't train directly.
What is compromised running and why does the plan focus on it?
It's running on legs already fatigued from a station — the actual demand of a Hyrox race — so sessions deliberately pair short runs with functional work rather than training each in isolation.
Is this suitable for a first Hyrox or only experienced racers?
Yes, set your skill level to Inexperienced and the plan builds station competency and running base before adding race-pace intensity.
Can it build a plan for doubles or relay racing?
Tell it you're racing doubles or relay and sessions factor in your combined pacing and transition handoffs with your partner.
How close to race day does it taper?
Volume and station intensity typically taper over the final 7-10 days, keeping short sharp efforts while cutting overall fatigue.
