KAYAKING & CANOEING

Kayaking & Canoeing training plans, built for your goal

Sprint flatwater power, slalom whitewater reading, sea-kayak endurance and outrigger crew rhythm are four different sports wearing the same paddle, and a plan built for one will under-serve the others. SportBlox builds your kayaking and canoeing training plan around your discipline, current level and race or trip calendar, and syncs with Strava if you log your paddling sessions.

Personalisation

How SportBlox personalises it

Your goal & event date

Sessions build toward the specific goal and date you set, with a taper if you're racing or competing.

Your skill level

Volume and intensity scale to where you actually are, from Inexperienced to Professional.

Your stated weaknesses

Tell SportBlox about things like stroke-rate consistency under fatigue, catch-phase technique, start-line acceleration and the plan weights sessions toward fixing them.

Your schedule

The plan fits the days and time you say you have — not an idealised training week.

Works with Strava

Connect Strava and your logged sessions feed back into pacing and progression.

FAQ

Kayaking & Canoeing training plan FAQ

How many sessions per week will I get?

Typically 4-6, scaled to your goal and how many days you can access water or a gym.

Do I need water access for every session?

No — strength and some interval work can be done on an ergo or gym setup if you flag limited water access, though on-water sessions stay the priority.

Is this suitable for a beginner paddler?

Yes — set skill level to Inexperienced and the plan leans into stability, stroke technique and shorter sessions before building volume.

Will it fit around my club's squad sessions?

Tell it your existing club training and the plan schedules supplementary strength and technique work around it rather than doubling up.

Does it account for my specific discipline?

Yes — sprint, slalom, sea touring and outrigger all train differently, so tell SportBlox your discipline and it weights power, technique or endurance accordingly.

Does it work with Strava data?

Yes, connect Strava and logged paddling sessions feed back into pacing and progression.
