Sprint training plans, built for your goal
Sprinting rewards a fast start and clean acceleration as much as raw top-end speed, whether you're racing the 100m, 200m or 400m — each distance shifts the balance between pure speed and speed endurance. SportBlox builds your sprint training plan around your event, current PB and meets.
Who it's for
Breaking a personal best
Block starts and max-velocity work aimed at shaving tenths off your 100m, 200m or 400m.
Fixing block starts
Drill-heavy sessions isolating reaction time, drive phase and the first three steps out of the blocks.
First season sprinting
Fundamentals-first programming on sprint mechanics and blocks before adding full-effort reps.
A week of sprint training
Example: a 200m sprinter eight weeks from a state meet. Your own plan is built around your event, level and schedule.
How SportBlox personalises it
Your goal & event date
Sessions build toward the specific goal and date you set, with a taper if you're racing or competing.
Your skill level
Volume and intensity scale to where you actually are, from Inexperienced to Professional.
Your stated weaknesses
Tell SportBlox about things like reaction time out of the blocks, holding top-end speed to the line, speed endurance over 300m and beyond and the plan weights sessions toward fixing them.
Your schedule
The plan fits the days and time you say you have — not an idealised training week.
Sprint training plan FAQ
Does this cover the 100m, 200m and 400m the same way?
No — tell SportBlox which distance you race and sessions weight toward pure acceleration for the 100m, curve running for the 200m, or speed endurance and pacing for the 400m.
Do I need access to starting blocks?
It helps for start-specific drills, but flag limited access and the plan substitutes standing and three-point starts that still build the same acceleration mechanics.
Is this suitable for a first season sprinter?
Yes, set skill level to Inexperienced and the plan starts with basic sprint mechanics before adding block work and max-effort reps.
Will the plan build toward a specific meet date?
Add your meet as an event and SportBlox periodises training toward it, including a taper in the final week.
How does it help protect against hamstring strain?
Sprint volume is periodised and mobility work is included, but flag any tightness or history of strain so load can be adjusted.
